How much do portrait photographers cost?

There’s a few ways portrait photographers price their services and can charge between $50-$500.

This all depends on how experienced the photographer is, how much demand they receive, what they offer and how much post processing is done i.e. retouching images.

One way they can charge is by the hour, another way is how many photos are included and if there’s any additional services included.

Charging by the hour is very straightforward, a certain price for a 1 hour session for example. With an image limit, you can be charged an amount for a set amount of images for example, $120 for 10 images with the ability to buy more images, typically $50 per extra image. There can also be a combination of both for example, a 1 hour session with 10 images.
Some photographers also offer other things such as prints or albums.

Studio portraits can add additional costs especially if the photographer has to hire a studio for the shoot and they can be extremely pricey.

If the photographer is predominantly a model photographer, then factors like how many locations and how many outfit changes are included in the package.
